Why do you practice yoga? What benefits does it bring to you?
I first started off practising yoga as a way to heal. I was able to reverse an auto-immune condition I was facing for 2 years with 3 months of dedicated Yoga practice. Since then Yoga has brought me immense balance in my day to day life, both mentally and physically. Yoga gives me a sense of inner stillness, compassion for my body, and ultimately allows my body to have vitality.

What is your favourite posture and why?
My favourite posture is Paschimottanasana (Seated Forward Fold) as it allows me to feel connected to earth. I find that my mind is still and my body just surrenders.

What’s your advice for people wanting to start yoga?
Yoga is truly universal. The beauty of a Yoga practice is that it is solely for you and your unique body. This allows you to develop a practice that feels right for your mind and body. So whenever you decide to step on the mat, have faith that you are bringing yourself closer to a calm and balanced state.
