Dear Nilaya House friends,

In his book the Science of Enlightenment, How Meditation Works, Shinzen Young writes there are three key ways to engage with your spiritual practice.

A formal daily practice, moments of present awareness throughout the day, and annual or bi-annual periods of dedicated practice. The idea being to maintain a consistent practice, boosted by periods of intensity that serve to reboot and reinvigorate.

This October, I invite interested students to participate in our Navratri Sadhana, as a reboot period.

Starting Thursday October 7 and running til Friday October 15, the sadhana will involve meeting in the shala at 5:15am for a chanting practice, followed by Ashtanga Yoga practice (7:45am on Friday/Saturday). Those unable to make it in are welcome to join online.

Please email me at [email protected] if you would like to join.

Read on for details of the Sri Joyti Chakra Mandala, also in celebration of Navratri.

Yours in Yoga,

Nea Ferrier, Nilaya House Founder & Teacher
