When we opened Nilaya House at the beginning of 2018, our vision was to be a place for people to start or deepen their yoga journey. And by this, we mean the journey of self-transformation that yoga, as a way of life, can fuel.
We are delighted to announce a new programme for both new and existing practitioners to dive in deep into the practices and philosophies of yoga.
Read on for details of the upcoming 50-hr Foundations of Yoga Mentorship with Binita Shah running over nine weeks, October – December.
We had a beautiful community event for Guru Purnima last month, and I look forward to hosting another evening of chanting and meditation to celebrate Ganesha Chaturti at the end of this month. Hope to see you there.
Yours in Yoga,
Nilaya House Founder & Teacher
COOLING IYENGAR YOGA ASANA PRACTICE WITH APARAJITA GHOSE
SATURDAY 20 AUGUST
Iyengar Yoga considers that our practice needs to change and adapt to the environment. During the hot summer months, it might be difficult to do an active energetic practice.
It is therefore important to practise asanas that boost our internal air conditioning and help in cooling down the body temperature on hot days. To do this, we need to know which asanas have a heating effect and which asanas belong to the category of cooling asanas.
Open to students of all levels.
