Dear Nilaya House friends,

In Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, the path of kriya yoga is outlined as a way to develop a calm, steady and luminous mind. Kriya yoga consists of tapas (austerities), svadyaya (self-study) and ishwara-pranidana (surrender to the divine).

The holy month of Ramadan is a time where these three aspects of the spiritual path are fully embraced. Even for those not fasting, this special time offers the opportunity for inner reflection and a deepening of practice.

With this in mind we are delighted to once again offer our community yoga classes every afternoon throughout the month. These classes are open to beginner students and priced very affordably.

We are also happy to offer for the first time a four-week Self-Inquiry and Awareness Meditation Programme.

We look forward to seeing you in the shala or online this Ramadan.

Yours in Yoga.

About Venkatesh
Venkatesh has been a seeker, studying teachings of various traditions. Taking to devotion and practising japa (repetition of a name), Venkatesh continued to understand influences of masters in the non-duality lineage about self and awareness. A new perspective of living life as it happens has given him a sense of peace and liberation. Venkatesh’s class is interactive, allowing participants to recognize themselves in an environment free of concepts and judgement, along with practices to be peaceful and comfortable.
