Purva Pratana Sthiti (Backbends) are rejuvenating. They give energy, courage and combat depression. They open up the chest, strengthen the arms and shoulders, remove stiffness from the hips and hip flexors, and make the spine supple and flexible.
This Workshop will entail a safe approach to practicing and sequencing backbends. Knowing the line and detail of the posture is necessary for practising it, which means understanding precisely in what direction and to what degree to move, turn or stretch and which part of the body to keep stable. Proper understanding leads to progress in yoga.
This workshop is open to participants of any experience level, life stage or aspiration.
