Normally we are closed on New Year’s Day, but for 2020 I invite you to join me for an invigorating Ashtanga Yoga class followed by a guided intention-setting meditation and a community breakfast as a way to get the new year off to a great start! There’s still some interesting events taking place in the shala over the next few weeks for those of you not travelling and 2020 is looking to again filled with fantastic programs and trainings for yoga practitioners of all levels.

Gain strength, flexibility, stamina and an overall sense of wellbeing Join one of our beginners’ courses in January 2020 to learn the basics of Ashtanga yoga. Each course is limited to eight students only to ensure personal attention and taught by teachers with more than 10 years practice and teaching experience. These courses are the ideal preparation for developing a self-practice and attending our Mysore-style classes. Open to complete beginners to yoga, those new to the Ashtanga method or students with some Ashtanga experience but wanting a more thorough review.

PRANAYAMA FOR HEALTH
Learn how the ancient wisdom of Siddha Medicine can be applied to many modern-day health concerns, through yogic breathing techniques.
We are delighted to welcome Dr Vetri, a graduate in Siddha medicine and surgery to Dubai December 12-14. Dr Vetri is at the forefront of reviving ancient Siddar (thirumoolar) breathing practices, for the prevention and treatment of a variety of lifestyle diseases. He is also an expert in ‘varman‘ (energy points) and in his work as a medical practitioner is experiencing considerable success in combining these techniques with yogic breathing and pranayama.
These sessions are open to students of yoga interested in breathing techniques as well as anyone curious to learn more about a holistic path to health.

HATHA YOGA TEACHERS’ TRAINING
This six-month training in Dubai, starting mid-February 2020, will be led by senior teacher Sneha Arora, supported by a team of teachers, experts in yoga practice, philosophy, anatomy, health & wellness. The training is a well-balanced holistic integrative curriculum of seven different modules taught over 14 weekends. This thorough curriculum has been developed by The Yoga Institute and used to train thousands of yoga teachers worldwide. It is focused on ensuring graduates are equipped with the fundamentals of yoga practice, spanning philosophy and practical yogic techniques.
