Dear students,

We are so lucky to have yoga as part of our lives during these challenging times.

At Nilaya House, we are committed to providing you with a clean, safe space for your practice. Here are a few guidelines we recommend for attending classes:

  • Wash hands before and after classes for 20 seconds. Hand sanitisers are also available at the shala
  • Bring your own mat, you are welcome to store it with us provided it is in a mat bag
  • Bring your own pillow/blanket for sound healing/yin/yoga nidra
  • Use a personal towel/rug when using bolsters and wheels
  • Stay home if you are feeling unwell

We are fortunate that our upstairs shala is large and spacious, allowing for plenty of room and personal space. For classes in the downstairs shala we are limiting the numbers to eight students per class. Do book-in in advance.

We will continue to maintain the high standard of cleanliness at Nilaya House as well increasing the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting contact surfaces and props, in accordance with the guidelines outlined by the Health & Safety Department of Dubai Municipality.

We have created a Nilaya House Student facebook group that we encourage you to join. We’ll be sharing useful yoga and meditation resources that you might enjoy, particular those maintaining a home practice. Stay tuned for the youtube channel too!

If you would like any advice on your yoga practice, don’t hesitate to reach out to your teacher, or feel free to email me.

Most importantly, maintain your practice, whether in the shala or at home. It is a vital support for physical and emotional wellbeing.

With love,
Nea Ferrier
