Yoga Therapy is a form of complementary medicine that takes a holistic approach to support the whole person. It adapts the principles of yoga—including postures, movements, breathing techniques, meditation, restorative yoga, and yoga nidra—to meet each individual’s unique needs and promote overall well-being.
Yoga Therapy is based on a therapeutic relationship between the therapist and the client, it starts with a thorough conversation called the Intake, which is followed by a physical and breathing assessment to design the Yoga Therapy plan that will help the client work toward greater health and meet his wellness goals.
The sessions are conducted weekly for 90 minutes, and 10 minutes of regular practice (homework) is encouraged two to three times per week for quicker results.
