Intro to Ashtanga Yoga Course Level 2 (EVENINGS) with Zainab Hafizji

Over these six sessions, you will be introduced to the postures beyond Parsvottanasana. The Primary series of Ashtanga yoga begins from Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana and we will learn until the seated postures (Janu Sirsasana), incorporating modifications as needed.

You will learn eleven new postures of the Ashtanga yoga practice in addition to the Surya Namaskar, standing postures, closing postures, and relaxation and we will revisit the correct breathing technique and incorporate it into our practice mindfully.

We will also, progressively learn the technique for the transitions in between each side as well as in between each of the seated postures which consist of jumping back and jumping through.

This course is the ideal preparation for attending self-practice classes (Mysore-style) on a regular basis.
